It was in the winter of 1991 after working for Eureka Forbes Ltd. as a Aquaguard Direct Seller for over 2 years Leo Lainez had his first stint in the Yellow Pages market working as Business Executive at Sesa Seat Dadar Mumbai, His assignment was simple to get advertisements for Sesa Seat’s 1st B2B Print Directory, Here at Sesa Seat he researched the B2B market and learned the basics, thereafter he pursued his skills by joining a Print advertising company Mascot Advertising (Bhandup Mumbai) in 1996, to obtain a thorough knowledge of how the Newspaper / Magazine works, here he worked as a Business Exective meeting Industrial suppliers and industrial manufacturers and got their Ads published in Times of India Bombay B2B segment that was published every wednesday, and an Industrial Magazine called Industrial Product Finder from Andheri Mumbai
In the same year of 1996, Mr Lainez ventured and started his own advertising agency which was a properitery concern called Apple Adverising in Thane, where B2B Ads were sought for the TATA Press Yellow Pages and The Kalyan Telephone Directory which was published by Trimuti Enterprises, Here at Apple Advertising he learned the tricks of the trade and with his survival instincts in the summer of April 1997 konkan Industrial Publications was launched in Thane, Here space marketing executives were appointed for running an Ad campaign for the 1st Edition of the Konkan Industrial Publications (Business Directory) which eventually was published in early 1999, thereafter a total of 7 editions were published till the company entered the B2B internet market with its url konkanindustrialpublications.com
