The Akshaya Patra Foundation operates its 78th centralised kitchen in North Goa, located inside the Pilerne Industrial Estate, this facility was established in partnership with the Government of Goa and the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), Officially inaugurated on March 17, 2025, by Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant
The state-of-the-art facility has a capacity to prepare 5,000 free, nutritious mid-day meals daily. It currently serves school children (primarily targeting classes IX and X) across regions like Saligao, Calangute, and Siolim under the Government of India’s flagship PM POSHAN Abhiyaan
The facility ensures efficient, high-hygiene food production strictly aligned with global food safety cultures.
Situated at the Multi-purpose Cyclone Shelter, near the Goa State Pollution Control Board in the Pilerne Industrial Estate, North Goa.
